HackTricks := How to change Password in Windows

The word Hacking attracts all of us. Isn't it???

So today I am going to explain you How to change password in windows. (Obviously when we are not knowing the password of that particular user.)

There are two methods for it. In my this post I will explain how to change password when you are already logged in ( or in case of Windows XP you are able to access cmd via Safe Mode or etc Method)

So, The following are the two methods...

1.) Using command Prompt.

Just follow following steps and the magic will happen!!!

Step 1) Open cmd ( In case of Windows 7 run as administrator)

Step 2) type "net user <username> <password>". (where username is name of the user and Password is password)

Step 3) Press Enter and you will get message "The command completed successfully".

Done. You have successfully changed password of your friend...

2.) Using Control Panel

Just follow the following steps.

Step 1) Open Control Panel

Step 2) Go to System and Security-> Administrative Tool -> Computer Management -> System Tools

Step 3) Double click on "Local User and Groups" ( From the Left hand side panel)

Step 4) Now double click on "User" ( From Right hand side panel)

Step 5) You can see all the accounts of your computer. Now right click on any of the account and select "Set Password".

Step 6) Set the new password as per your wish.

 Done. You have successfully changed password of your friend...
